Hey Y’all. I’m Mary Ann (she/her/hers)

I am a Bay Area registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#128724) & Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#10457). I am currently being supervised by Manda Selva LCSW76444.

I was born and raised in the Central Valley, but now call the East Bay my home. Prior to being a psychotherapist, I was a law enforcement officer for several years in the Central Valley. I was also enlisted in the United States Air Force for seven years, in which one of those years I was deployed overseas.

I identify as Black and Filipina. I was raised Catholic, but I am now mixing Hinduism into my spirituality as well. I am passionate in believing mental health is for everyone and that given the space and tools— a person can indeed find healing. I love working with BIPOC clients, helping them understand that trauma sometimes isn’t just physical happenings around us, unfortunately trauma can occur just because of the color of our skin.

I believe in serving our community and helping others become better “selves.” I have background in working with undeserved populations, justice systems involved, substance abuse and veterans. Together we work through issues such as depression, anxiety, cultural identities, traumas and violence in both adults and children.

I will help you understand your truth and help identify and unblock whatever obstacles are in your way.
